Allen West Honored with the 2013 Freedom Flame Award
Last night Allen West was bestowed the 2013 Freedom Flame Award by the Center for Security Policy at the Union League Club in Manhattan. Richard M. Scaife was awarded the Terry Elkes Sacred Honor award but was unfortunately not able to attend the ceremony.
I was so very honored to be invited and to have the opportunity to meet Allen West. He was the most friendly, humble and down-to-earth person you can imagine. A true soldier and patriot. I asked him if he would please run for president and he said, 'If I am called I will answer.'
Video of the speeches to come courtesy of the Center for Security Policy, so please watch this space. You don't want to miss Allen West's acceptance.

New York City Mayoral Race 2013
This great, old Giuliani campaign poster was for sale in an antique shop in in Stonington, Maine a couple years ago. It was only ten bucks. I still wish that I had picked it up but I've got nowhere to put it really. My guess is that it was from his first campaign in 1989 when he lost against David Dinkins. And we all saw how that turned out.
I voted for Rudy Giuliani the three times that he ran for office and have not voted in the NYC Mayoral races since his second term. Quite simply, there is just no one to vote for and this election year isn't any different.

Obama is Evil Street Art: My Little Red Magic Marker Edition
There are a few dozen of these blank 'Draw Something 2' posters stapled up all over my neighborhood asking to draw something 'cute' or 'sweet' and others along those lines. The draw something 'evil' version provided horns as part of the original template and someone had already drawn a face.

Woolwich Islamic Beheading: EDL's Tommy Robinson "Sleepwalking into Oblivion"
Tommy Robinson on the savage beheading of British soldier, Drummer Lee Rigby by Islamic terrorists in broad daylight.
Hat tip, Atlas Shrugs!
Lots more here from Tommy Robinson, whom I had the great honor of meeting last year at the 'Stop the Islamization of Nations' conference.
Also please read this important and incisive piece, "Rivers of Blood" over at American Rattlesnake.
"Once again, the words of Enoch Powell appear prescient, although perhaps
in not quite the way the late British parliamentarian and classicist
intended. In the same week that Swedes have been besieged by aggrieved jihadists imported by their own government, Londoners experienced yet another subsidiary benefit of multiculturalism. This time, in the form of a Nigerian convert to Islam ritualistically slaughtering a member of the British Army."

Chechen Islamic Terrorist Outrage in Boston: U.S. Immigration Run Amok
In the years since the Islamic terror attacks in 1993 and 2001 we haven't learned a damned thing. Our quisling media and our ever-more cowardly elected officials seem to be locked in a virtual death match competition to appease our enemies. On top of it all we also have a twice-elected president who considers our constitution a 'flawed document' and something of an irritating obstacle in the most craven power grab in American history. President Executive Order can't give away our American sovereignty fast enough and is about to demonstrate his power by granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Why bother, Barry? When we have been admitting record numbers of asylum seekers from countries wishing us nothing but death. The Tsarnaev brothers were granted asylum because their parents easily convinced our government that they were in fear of being murdered. How ironic. We were attacked by Chechen terrorists on our own soil, terrorists that we invited to our country on a platinum entitlement card.
Last year, I attended a talk organized by the Center for Immigration Studies that should leave every American reeling. The problem is much more insidious and widespread than most realize. It isn't just a small army of rubber-stamping bureaucrats and immigration lawyers like Michelle Malkin points to in her column today, it's big business.
What Don Barnett's talk represented is but a tiny glimpse of the tip of the colossal iceberg that is our suicidal immigration policies. All across America, states within states are being created by flooding small communities with asylum seekers who have no interest in assimilating on even the most basic levels. Most are from the Islamic world. It's happening in Maine, Tennessee, Michigan and Minnesota and many other states. Refugees from Islamic countries have been reported to have openly turned their backs on the American flag while being sworn in as citizens. As we see with the Tsarnaev family, some of these refugees come pre-radicalized, terrorist-ready. They are here but they hate America and are groomed to love death.
From Don Barnett's 2011 CIS report:
Loss of U.S. Control. Policy about who is admitted as a refugee to the United States has been surrendered to the U.N. and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that stand to benefit from the program. In recent years, up to 95 percent of the refugees coming to the United States were referred by the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)or were putative relatives of U.N.-selected refugees. Given the impact that refugee resettlement has on all other forms of immigration-- both legal and illegal-- the U.N. can be thought of as setting U.S. immigration policy for future generations of Americans.
Security Matters. Meaningful background checks are difficult to obtain for refugees admitted from countries without reliable government records. Common criminals, war criminals, international fugitives, and terrorists have all used the USRAP (U.S. Refugee Admissions Program) and its related asylum provisions for entry into the United States. Bribery of U.N. officials is commonly reported among those attempting to secure refugee admission to the United States.
Uncontrolled Growth. After a brief post-911 slowdown, the program is not, once again, admitting more refugees than envisioned in the 1980 Refugee Act. At 80,000 refugee admissions for 2011, the United States will admit nearly three times the number of refugees as the rest of the developed world combined.
Exploitation for Profit. Refugee resettlement is very profitable for some non-profits. Religious organizations and NGO's involved in the program consistently refuse to commit any of their own resources for the resettlement effort. Instead, these organizations have turned to the refugee program to generate an income stream, abandoning traditional charitable works that do not pay. Most of the second-and third-tier refugee organizations receiving contracts and grants today are run by former refugees themselves, which has put the program on a perpetual growth trajectory.
I urge you to listen to this recording. The sound quality isn't perfect in places, but therein lies a wealth of valuable information. Courtesy of Pamela Hall.
"Losing Control of Refugee Resettlement" by Don Barnett, Former State Department official.
Don Barnett, currently a fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies and expert on refugee resettlement in the United States, delivered to the Penn Club on Tuesday night, January 10, 2012, a presentation crucial to understanding the scale of the problem faced by small towns and communities throughout America. A former employee of the United States Information Agency within the U.S. State Department, he spent an extensive part of his career working in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc, which produced most of the refugees brought to the United States during the Cold War Era.
He was introduced by Mark Krikorian, Executive Director of the Center for Immigration Studies.
UPDATE: Here's an excellent report from American Rattlesnake on Don Barnett's illuminating talk that night at the Penn Club.

Drone Street Art: The Essam Attia Fundraiser
(please click to enlarge photos!)
Last week I went to a fundraiser for Essam Attia, the artist behind the NYPD drone street art series. Though I am not a great big fan of street art in general, as it mostly tends to be meaningless and self-referential, I wanted to meet Attia because I had been following his work over the last year and found it intriguing. These included several Thomas Jefferson quote stencils that I photographed, here, here, and here, the 'NYPD' Drone Activity in Progress sign, and a 'Wanted Poster' for Totalitarian Barack Hussein Obama and Mitt Romney that was posted around my neighborhood during the presidential campaign.

It wasn't until Attia was arrested for his fake NYPD propaganda posters that I was able to tie all of his work together.
Essam Attia is charged with 56 counts of possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny and possession of an unloaded .22 caliber revolver, which was found under his bed when his apartment in Manhattan was raided. The fundraiser was a silent auction arranged to help pay his legal fees.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal:
... he explained that he first became familiar with drones during his tour in Iraq. "I was in Iraq between 2003 and 2006 and I was a geospatial analyst—a mapmaker. There were only three Predator drones then. They were just used for surveillance, and at the time, I thought, like, 'Wow, this is an amazing technology.' But we've obviously seen that perverted, you know? American citizens are being killed by drone strikes without due process," he said.
Unexpectedly, Mr. Attia sounded almost ecstatic about his own time in the military: "I got into it to pay for my education at SVA, which my family didn't have the means to do, but I learned so much and had an amazing time. I met some of my best friends in the world there."

Here are just a few examples of the art that was donated for auction.
Posters and t-shirts were also for sale. If you are interested in any of the art visit: Free ESSAM.
In the below video Essam Attia is introduced.
The place was packed from wall to wall. There was an open bar, a DJ and a music show with several bands that took place downstairs later that night.
Looking around at all the people tightly packed into the gallery who where there to support Essam Attia; artists, musicians, hipsters, models, scene-makers, all I kept thinking was, "If all of these people here are so concerned with our freedom and civil liberties, then why the Hell do they keep voting for Progressive Totalitarians like Barry Predator Drone Obama and Mayor Nanny Bloomberg?"

Missing Breitbart: The 'Hating Breitbart' Screening
I was very honored to attend a private screening tonight of the phenomenal new documentary film, Hating Breitbart. Directed by Andrew Marcus and produced by Maura Flynn and Evan Coyne Maloney, Hating Breitbart is like being in the front seat of a race car at the Indy 500 with Andrew Breibart at the wheel. I love documentaries and this one really delivers. Seeing Andrew on the big screen, bigger than life and taking no prisoners it almost felt like he was still here. The film crew follows Breitbart through Tea Party gatherings, various appearances at CPAC and SRLC, a pro-Harry Reid demonstration in Nevada, and his epic battle with the leftwing media, who are featured throughout the film. How they hated him! There are clips and interviews with vile leftist media types like Max Blumenthal, Chris Hayes and others of their ilk from The New York Times, Huffington Post and the Columbia School of Journalism. I loved the film. I hope you get to see it. It was funny, inspiring, depressing, exhilarating and infuriating.
How I miss Andrew Breitbart!

Political Restaurant Sign: The 'Mitt Romney Hates the Beach' Edition
I spotted this curious message today written on a sidewalk sign outside of a dive joint called The Surf Bar here in the Prog Mecca of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Mitt Romney 'hates the beach'? He does? I have no idea what this refers to. Liberals sure are strange.
UPDATE: Alright. Now I get it. It turns out that it likely has to do with a New York Times 'investigative' piece back in June 2012 [which explains why it completely blew by me] on how Mitt Romney ticked off his pot-smoking neighbors in La Jolla, California.

Pro-Gun Pickup Truck in New York: The 'Screw Cuomo!' Edition
Spotted this anti-Cuomo sign upstate today in Shokan, New York. But you should have seen the one that got away! What had initially caught my eye from the road at that location was another pickup--a black one with "IMPEACH CUOMO" written across its entire back window in huge white letters. Unfortunately by the time we got back to snap a few pictures it was gone. Ah! The shots that get away! Drives me nuts sometimes, but I got very lucky that this one was there.

Political Street Art: The Kid with Assault Rifle Edition
I came across this street art thing put up by Enzo & Nio in my neighborhood a little while back--before the Newtown shootings.
It has since faded, or has been covered with more posters, graffiti and the generally irritating visual noise and clutter around here.
This 'poster child', as it were, is another example of the stark raving,
almost psychotic hypocrisy on the Left when it comes to violence. Though I'm sure it was intended to be 'chic' or 'ironic' or something.
It also shows you what amateurs these people are. I'm sure it's a toy, but anyone who is properly trained with firearms knows not to keep your finger on the trigger when you're not shooting.
If Bill Ayers and Barry 'Executive Order' Soetoro had a daughter, she would look just like this.

Spotted this 'WikiLeaks War Crime Scene Investigator Unit' vehicle in my area recently.
I wonder what war crimes could possibly be taking place in here hipsterville, USA.
A U.S. Military Judge is set to rule later today on a motion to dismiss all charges against Bradley Manning, who is charged with sending thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks--the largest U.S. military intelligence breach in American history.

Political Alcohol: The Obama Thai Whiskey Edition
(please click to enlarge!)
For those of you who might be nursing New Year's Eve hangovers today, here's a bit of the hair of the dog that bit you.
A friend of mine who travels often to Thailand stopped in the Roi Et province and picked up this bottle of Obama Whiskey.
Foreigners commemorating Barry's presidency with booze is apparently more popular than I had realized. Back in 2009, in honor of his 'historic' inauguration, an Irish distillery struck a wooden cask of a special blend of malt whiskey which was set mature and be opened on what was intended to be Obama's last day in office, in 2013.
Well, since the Irish, along with many here at home, turned out to be poor political prognosticators, bottoms up!
